Collection: Encaustic Series

Encaustic collages contain found objects and clippings from art magazines and rich encaustic pigments, coated in layers of beeswax fused with heat, resulting in lots of texture and visual interest. The process is ages old, and archival; think of these as modern objects from our culture encased forever in the byproducts of tireless worker bees. 

Each piece is 9x9 inches on 1/2" wood stock. Signed by me and dated on the back, they hang with a sawtooth hanger (positioned precisely with a jig system I developed for easy grouping and swapping) and have spacers to slightly float them from the wall. Shipped in bubble wrap. Signed certificate of authenticity included.
